A Money Milestone for Biden 2020

Former EPA Regional Administrator Alan J. Steinberg says that Joe Biden lacks political discipline and the ability and inclination to reflect on the possible impact of his interpersonal actions and statements before he acts or speaks. These flaws threaten Biden's ability to effectively deliver his center-left Democratic message.

The most significant news of the Presidential campaign in early September showed up today and it is about money.

The DNC and the Biden campaign announced that it shattered all records in August by raising $364 Million, nearly 60% of which came online; a fundraising accomplishment unmatched in American political history. Such largesse enabled Biden to turnaround and spend $45 Million to launch a law and order message regarding crime and public safety.

The importance of this stunning haul of campaign cash cannot be overstated. It allows Biden to play hard in both of the battlefields: Coronavirus and Law and Order. Until now, Trump has focused exclusively on societal dystopia while Biden has pounded Trump’s malfeasance on Covoid.

The campaign which demonstrates the greatest dexterity and situational awareness will win on November 3 . By any measure, Biden has early on shown he has the chops to bring it to Trump for the next sixty days.  Trump, conversely, sounds a shrill, untethered grievance.

Biden’s speech in Pittsburgh on August 31 opposing violence and looting and then today’s remarks in Wilmington, Delaware regarding Trump’s failure of leadership on Covid and re-opening the schools demonstrates his ability to pivot boldly in 24 hour cycles.

Today it was announced that Biden is visiting the Jacob Blake family in Kenosha, Wisconsin. This decision resulted from the campaign having its finger on the pulse and the willingness to change direction as necessary. Situational Awareness.

All in all , Biden is fully engaged and eagerly fulfilling the role of a benign, determined, and optimistic leader. This is what the country wants and needs.
