In Morris, Smith and Krickus to Run with Shaw

Three days after Hank Lyon abruptly dropped out of the Morris County freeholder race, the team of Deborah Smith and John Krickus is about to get a new teammate.
That would be Stephen Shaw of Mountain Lakes.
Shaw will replace Lyon on the Smith-Krickus team. .
Running as a team is advantageous in a primary because it allows candidates to pool resources and raise money together as opposed to individually.
Smith praised Shaw (a former mayor) for his background in municipal government and his support for open space. A formal press release on the matter is expected later this week.
Smith, of Denville, is an incumbent and Krickus of Washington Township is a former freeholder.
Others in the race for three Republican nominations in the June primary are incumbent John Cesaro of Parsippany,  Rob Peluso, also of Parsippany, and Aura Kenny Dunn of Mendham.
