In Mount Laurel, history was made as Democratic candidates Stephen Steglik, the Chairman of the Burlington County Young Democrats, and Kareem Prichett won two seats on the Council.

Pritchett becomes the first African-American to win a council seat in Mount Laurel, and Steglik the youngest.
