Consulting (Jeannine LaRue and Maggie Moran) will serve as the DNC Finance Committee's Senior Advisor to the New Jersey Coordinated Campaign of Mikie Sherrill for Governor.

Sherrill was present this afternoon on a DNC call with Moran and Martin when Martin made the formal announcement to the Democratic candidate's allies.

With over 50 years of pioneering experience in public affairs, advocacy, government relations, and DEI, LaRue has built an extraordinary career spanning healthcare, gaming, higher education, and social justice. A former elected official, former gaming regulator, former executive in many verticals, and tireless advocate, she’s known for her deep dedication to equity and her impactful work with marginalized communities. Jeannine has been honored by over 50 organizations for her advocacy and leadership, and her expertise in communications, outreach, and engagement has empowered countless individuals and communities. Her remarkable journey through public service and strategic leadership has been instrumental to Moxie’s success.

Operating here in a consulting capacity, founder of two award-winning public affairs firms, Moran is a veteran political operative and experienced strategist with a history of playing of senior roles in many statewide races for Governor, U.S. Senate, and President. CEO and co-founder of Moxie Creative Collective with LaRue, Moran especially has a proven track record of success on the New Jersey political landscape, with vast experience in strategy, communications, campaign management, federal and state government, and labor relations.

She has served in senior roles for major public affairs campaigns both nationally and regionally in New York and New Jersey, worked for two United States senators, three Governors, managed statewide political campaigns for president, governor, and served as the Chief of Management and Operations for the State of New Jersey. She has also been involved in countless ballot initiatives, regulatory issues, business development efforts and public education campaigns including the passage of medical marijuana in NY and recreational marijuana in New Jersey.

Over the course of her career, Moran has appeared regularly on New Jersey and New York political power lists from outlets such as PolitickerNJ, ROINJ, NJBIZ, InsiderNJ and New Jersey Globe. She has also regularly been honored as one of the most influential businesswomen, as well as one of the most influential women in politics in both New York and New Jersey, including being honored as one of City & State’s “Above & Beyond” awardees, where she was specifically recognized as one of the top five businesswomen in the state of New York. Moran has been a strong champion of increasing political participation for women, people of color and the LGBTQIA community.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Douglass College—Rutgers University. In November of 2016, she was one of only 80 Rutgers University alumni honored as a Rutgers 250 Fellow, a prestigious award celebrating the University’s founding in 1766.
