Governor Phil Murphy, First Lady Tammy Murphy Announce GOTV Campaign Schedule in Advance of State and Local Elections

NJ Governor Phil Murphy and First Lady Tammy Murphy are scheduled to speak at Senator Cory Booker's 2020 presidential campaign kickoff rally.

Governor Phil Murphy and First Lady Tammy Murphy will campaign for Democratic candidates for State Assembly and local and county offices throughout New Jersey in the days leading up to Election Day on Tuesday, November 5th. Building on last year’s successes and working to create a stronger, more inclusive Democratic Party in New Jersey, the duo will work to inspire excitement for Democratic candidates up and down the ballot by connecting with voters and supporters at local events, including rallies, canvass launches, phone banks, and more.

“Tuesday’s election is an opportunity for New Jersey Democrats to unite behind candidates who share our values and who will work to continue the tremendous progress we’ve made together,” said Governor Murphy. “With our partners in the Legislature, including Speaker Craig Coughlin and our Democratic Assembly caucus, and county and local officials, we’re making a positive impact on the lives of working families. Over the past two years, we’ve seen Democrats win in parts of New Jersey that have rarely elected Democrats before, because voters recognize and embrace that our state is becoming stronger and fairer every day. I believe Tuesday’s results will be further confirmation of that fact.”
