Gov. Phil Murphy Nominates Passaic Mayor Hector Lora to Passaic Valley Water Commission

Passaic Mayor Hector Lora is one of many nominations by Governor Phil Murphy that the Senate Judiciary Committee will consider. Lora is being considered for a position on the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission. Other judgeships, prosecutor, and seats on key boards and commissions will be considered.

The Senate Judiciary Committee on Monday will consider a full roster of nominations by Governor Phil Murphy for various positions, including judgeships, prosecutor, and seats on key boards and commissions.

A statehouse source in part attributed the list of over 30 nominations to the swift, behind-the-scenes work of George Helmy, Murphy’s new chief of staff.

Senator Nick Scutari (D-22), chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, will hear from the following:

Passaic Mayor Hector Lora, to replace Ken Lucianin as a member of the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission.
