Murphy Receives Endorsement from Sheet Metal Workers Local 25

Today, the Sheet Metal Workers Local 25 endorsed Tammy Murphy for U.S. Senate. The Sheet Metal Workers Local 25 represents Essex, Passaic, Morris, Bergen, Hudson, Union, Sussex, and Somerset counties.

“Tammy Murphy is a major proponent of organized labor and a champion for our hard working men and women,” said Joe Demark, President and Business Manager of Local 25. “Tammy’s innovative work on the New Jersey Council on the Green Economy highlights her commitment to creating apprenticeships and workforce development opportunities for our members. It is clear that Tammy understands the value of union labor, and more importantly, the values of our hardworking families. The Sheet Metal Workers Local 25 proudly endorse Tammy Murphy for U.S. Senate.”

Murphy has received endorsements from several unions including the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades District Council 21, the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental, and Reinforcing Iron Workers, the State Troopers Fraternal Association, the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers Local 194, the New Jersey Firefighters Mutual Benevolent Association, and the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters. Murphy has also received support from over eighty faith and community leaders, six Congressional members, and over one-hundred elected officials.

  1. I’m sick and tired of InsiderNj posting this garbage every time some hard hat construction union that depends upon state contracts for their jobs endorses Tammy Snyder. Most of their members will vote for Trump in the general election, so who cares about their endorsement in a Democratic primary.
