New Jersey SHARES Appoints New Members to Board of Directors

Ewing, N.J. – New Jersey SHARES, Inc., a statewide nonprofit corporation aiding individuals and families who have trouble meeting their energy and utility burden, has appointed four new members to its Board of Directors.

The newly appointed members are Jenny S. Davis of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Ulises E. Diaz of Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, Chris James of MBI and John A. Sartor of PS&S.

Stowell, CEO, New Jersey SHARES. “Their insight and combined years of expertise in their respective fields will be a great asset to our nonprofit organization as we continue to serve our New Jersey neighbors in need.”

Jenny S. Davis is the Chief of Intergovernmental Affairs of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. The former Deputy Campaign Manager for Governor Phil Murphy’s 2017 campaign, Davis brings more than two decades of political and issue campaign experience on a national, statewide and local level. She has served in senior roles in legislative offices and strategy development.

Ulises E. Diaz currently serves as the Director of Enterprise Government Affairs for Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey. His previous experience includes developing the government affairs activities and New Jersey legislative program for Verizon Communications Inc., as well as overseeing including government and public affairs, communications and business development for United Water New Jersey.

Chris James joined MBI, a Trenton-based public affairs firm, as a member in 2018. Previous positions include: Executive Director, the New Jersey Democratic State Committee; Chief of Staff, former N.J. Assembly Speaker Sheila Oliver; Deputy Executive Director, Assembly Democratic Office. James is also the current president of the East Orange, N.J. Town Council.

John A. Sartor is President & CEO of PS&S, a successful architectural and engineering firm that employs more than 250 people across seven offices throughout New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. A professional engineer in the state of New Jersey, he has served on the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Transition Team, the Scotch Plains Environmental Commission and the Green Brook Township Board of Education.
