In Newly Released Ad, RGA Tries to Saw into Murphy’s Lead

The Republican Governors Association (RGA) Tuesday released its first New Jersey gubernatorial TV spot of the 2017 cycle.

“Phil Murphy is so out-of-touch, he’s campaigning on a promise to raise New Jersey taxes by at least $1.3 billion a year,” said RGA Communications Director Jon Thompson. “If elected, you can bet this is one campaign promise Phil Murphy intends to keep. Murphy has made higher taxes the central issue in this election, but New Jersey families can stop him this November.”

Save Jersey has the story here.

The ad surfaced a week after Quinnipiac University assessed the contest as a 25 percentage point lead for Murphy over Republican contender Kim Guadagno.
