NJ Realtors Endorse Mikie Sherrill in CD-11

Today the National Association of Realtors PAC endorsed Mikie Sherrill for Congress in New Jersey’s 11th District.

“Mikie Sherrill understands that homeownership is part of the American Dream,” said Angela Sicoli, Century21 Award Agency, Broker. “In New Jersey, home ownership can grow our economy, fuel job creation, and make our state a destination for those wanting a better quality of life for their families. We are endorsing Mikie Sherrill because she knows how important it is to build a strong economy here in New Jersey that will support home ownership.”

“Our family moved to New Jersey because we wanted to own a home and join a community where our children could thrive,” said Sherrill. “I want to make sure our communities are strong, and that’s why I’m so committed to bringing down the cost of living, starting with reinstating the full state and local tax deduction that negatively impacts our homeowners. I’m proud to have the endorsement of the Realtors.”

The National Association of Realtors PAC endorses candidates on both sides of the aisle who are dedicated to supporting American homeowners, according to a release.

According to the realtors, “New Jersey homeownership has still not recovered from the Great Recession. Since 2008, home ownership in New Jersey has fallen 2.5 percent. The congressional tax hike bill hurts property owners with its $10,000 cap on the state and local tax deduction, and was recently made permanent by Congress.”
