The New Jersey State Democratic Committee today slammed the millions of dollars being deployed by two Epstein File headliners, Donald Trump and Elon Musk, to support Tom Kean Jr.

A Trump super PAC directed approximately $3.3 million toward supporting Tom Kean Jr. in the midterms. The spending comes as Trump and the NJ GOP ramp up efforts to save Tom Kean Jr., who continues to dodge press interviews and won’t stand up for his constituents.

Meanwhile, Elon Musk's PAC has once again begun pouring money into propping up Kean's campaign. He spent roughly one million dollars on Tom Kean Jr. in 2024, and has contributed $90,000 to eight House races so far, including Tom Kean Jr. The people of NJ-7 want leaders who will earn their vote, not try to buy it.

“Donald Trump and Elon Musk want reliable yes-men in Congress to push their billionaire agenda that hurts everyday families — and they are trying to buy this seat to shore up one of their most loyal foot soldiers,” said Chairman LeRoy J. Jones of the New Jersey State Democratic Committee. “Sadly, this money dump is no surprise, given that Tom Kean Jr. votes with Donald Trump 100% of the time.  The message is clear: in return for Tom Kean Jr.’s blind support for the MAGA agenda that hurts New Jersey, Trump and Musk are returning the favor with millions in dark money spending meant to influence our elections.”

This district deserves someone who isn’t bought and paid for by men in the Epstein Files, and voters are going to reject Kean and this type of politics in November.
