South Jersey Democratic Leader George Norcross III has scheduled a $2,700 per-head May 15th fundraiser for U.S. Senator Bob Menendez at the Caffe Aldo Lamberti in Cherry Hill.

Co-sponsoring the fundraiser are the Democratic powerhouse’s brother, attorney Philip Norcross, and Dr. Krishna P. Singh, according to the invitation.

The invitation is of interest in part because of the widely held belief that a third Norcross brother, U.S. Rep. Donald Norcross (D-1), pictured, could make a play for Menendez’s seat in the event that the indicted U.S. Senator does not survive his scheduled fall corruption trial, or in the case of a statewide vacancy.

For now, the Norcross name stands behind the veteran Democratic U.S. senator, according to the invitation.
