Norcross v. Polistina Feud Spills into Public View

Carl Golden, senior contributing analyst with the William J. Hughes Center for Public Policy at Stockton University, talks about the escalation of public infighting between Gov. Phil Murphy and George Norcross over the NJEDA Task Force investigations into tax incentives which embodies a political strategy of deny everything and attack.

South Jersey Democratic Powerbroker George Norcross III and state Senator Vince Polistina (R-2) sat down in Ryfe Restaurant, where Polistina showed Norcross the draft of a bill to abolish the positions of Atlantic City mayor and council, Norcross this morning told radio show host Don Williams.

The meeting occurred “nine months to a year ago,” Norcross said.

Polistina, who represents Atlantic City in the state senate, asked Norcross to support the proposed legislation.

“I told him he was nuts,” the Democratic Party powerbroker told the Republican state senator, he said.

Norcross – an insurance broker – told Williams that Polistina, who runs his own engineering firm, wanted to appoint his own commission to run Atlantic City so that he could control the contracts in the sprawling gambling mecca.

The South Jersey boss – whose firm also handles public contracts – said he hasn’t seen someone in public office behave in as craven a self-interested fashion as Polistina. He also bashed the state senator for backing ousted hardline anti-abortion Senator Ed Durr (R-3).

Durr lost in November 2023 to state Senator-elect John Burzichelli (D-3).

Former Egg Harbor Township Mayor Sonny McCullough “should have been the state senator,” Norcross lamented, noting that he backed the late state Senator Jim Whelan (D-2) against McCullough in 2007, but later came to learn “what a legendary figure he [McCullough] was.”

Norcross described his damaged relationship with Polistina as injurious to South Jersey, where he claims to be “building seven counties together. It’s important. To be a vibrant part of our community you need everyone working together.”

Norcross’ appearance on the show represented the latest in an ongoing feud between himself and Atlantic County Republican Committee Chairman Don Purdy and Polistina.

During the half-hour long interview, Williams took the opportunity to ask Norcross if he backs former Senate President Steve Sweeney (D-3) for governor.

“For sure,” said Norcross. “Our families grew up together. We’re going to move forward and hopefully have a great candidate from South Jersey.”

  1. Everybody is waiting for that day when it is announced that Norcross has been exposed for every act of evil he and his cronies have committed that have resulted in harm, hurt, loss, bullying; vicious harassment; job interference, hacking, Norcross can’t get along with anybody and has created tons of enemies. Everyone who gets involve with him gets burned unless they are his relatives or brown nosers who participate in his acts of evil and petty retaliation schemes. He sold out America. His brother went to Qatar the same time Menedez did and yet Norcross was never called out for deals and failing to report gifts received by Qatar. God only knows what he’s done while in that Country. He was there and it was something that was to benefit his family and hurt Americans. Never was Norcross put under any investigation. He continues to use his influence to get away with MURDER.

Last month the Philadelphia Eagles got fed up with this white haired villian and kicked him out of the game because he thought he was above the law and refused to take down a flag. A video of his bad behavior was caught online and he immediately has his daughter Lexie call the owner of the story to convince her to give them the film and alter it so her father isn’t exposed as the bully. The white haired villian threatened to sue the Eagles but after seeing the fool he made out of himself, he decided Not to sue because his actions made it a loss cause for him to win so he doesn’t talk about it anymore. He was defeated and thrown out the game into the parking lot. New Jersey has to be sick of this SOB. He’s a horrible businessman and a horrible person. He is NIGHTMARISH

  2. George norcross got away with murder ongoing massive cyber crimes and sexual harassment. He had a corrupt judge Jerome Simandle toss cases then deem them frivolous. Simandle should have been disbarred. When he started being called out and people were seeing similarities in cases filed against norcross or his cronies Simandle suddenly dies from liver cancer. He was an alcoholic

  3. Norcross could have Simandle somewhere in Costa Rica or Qatar enjoying Retirement 😂😂😂

  4. Someone has to hit the Norcross family all of them that means you to Phil.
They have been nothing but political thugs running a corrupt enterprise and should be charged with the RICO ACT.
Even the Feds continue to look the other way.
It helps to have a third bother in Washington.
You think those Cooper/ Inquirre/McGrivey were just a coincidence.
