Insider NJ’s 2024 Out 100: LGBT Power List (PDF)
Welcome to Insider NJ’s 2024 OUT 100 Power List, a tribute to politically influential LGBTs in NJ Politics.
The LGBT Power List in 2018 was intended as a one off. I was tempted to sign off with last year’s list but let’s be honest, it was a juicy year in NJ politics as reflected in the composition of this year’s list.
Since this is probably my swansong Power List, I was keen to include as many new names and faces and possible in this year’s edition. So if you’ve been included multiple times but didn’t appear this year, thanks for making room for this year’s debutants.
Since neither party is doing much to build a bench for the next generation of LGBT political talent, this list is my contribution to building that bench.

2024 Out 100: LGBT
Please sign off. This list is a joke and only represents those who you like and misses many that you don’t. It’s laughable and poor “journalism”
Now we know who to avoid, thank you!
Henry — LOL why?
Congrats to everyone on the list, but how is it that major leaders in the LGBTQ community in NJ are missing from this list?
Thank you. People were nominated. Read beginning of the Power List as certain leaders asked not to be included. Everyone has a right to their decisions for whatever their reason.
Don’t sign off. The fight for LGBTQ Equality is far from over. Yes in New Jersey but not at the federal level or internationally.
That’s just one person who took himself out of the running.
Missed you, Jay Lassiter.
Missed your honesty.
Missed your courage.
Thank you Kathleen. As always.
Why are you signing off?
Is it because of the expex
cted Project 2025 LGBTQIA+ Holocaust?
@Doris There was actually more than one but Jay Lassiter was being kind. It’s also important to keep in mind that people Jay included were nominated by others. Everyone had a chance to nominate which is why Jay posted in the Spring that he was accepting nominations. Hope that helps clarify the process.
Outstanding work, Jay. As always, you’ve shined a light on individuals who might have remained unseen or overlooked if left to the political gatekeepers to define leadership. I’ll leave it at that.
Thank you.
Thank you Jay!! We have a fight ahead let’s work harder and give more!!!
This is pretty much the Democrat-Communist who’s who.
Any wonder why New Jersey is the No. 1 or No. 2 state for mass exodus to more liberty and less tax states????
If LGBTQABCDEFMICKEYMOUSE+ is now becoming a criteria for “power” players in NJ, and being less than 2 Percent of the population, it IS time to move out of New Jersey!!!!!
