Pascrell Brings Crowley to the Brownstone, Endorses him for Speaker of U.S. House of Reps

Getting his Irish up at his annual St. Patrick’s Day Party last night, U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-9) told a packed Brownstone crowd in Paterson that U.S. Rep. Joe Crowley (D-NY) would be the next speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives if Democrats win a majority.

Pascrell has been an ally of Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Ca.) in the past, and even brought her to see the Great Falls in his home town.

But he has signaled his preference for new look leadership.

The crowd of over 700 people included an ecstatic Crowley himself, and Governor Phil Murphy, who danced an Irish jig.

“That’s who I’m voting for,” Pascrell said after the event.
