Passaic GOP Award the Line to Ghee

The Passaic County Republican Party in CD11 this evening gave the line to Totowa attorney Tony Ghee.

The vote was 18 for Ghee and five for his rival, Assemblyman Jay Webber (R-26).

Considering the backing for Ghee of potent local GOP leader Peter Murphy of Totowa, the night’s results didn’t surprise. But the fact that Webber originally hails from Passaic (Clifton) somewhat augmented the significance of Ghee’s victory.

The Passaic portion of the 11th district consists of Bloomingdale, Little Falls, North Haledon, Pompton Lakes, Totowa, Wanaque, Wayne and Woodland Park.
