Paterson 5th Ward Councilman Luis Velez today endorsed the mayoral campaign of Andre Sayegh.

“I serve on our City Council with Andre, and I see firsthand his work ethic and most importantly, his desire to improve Paterson for all of us,” said Velez.

Velez serves as the 5^th Ward Councilman. He was elected in 2016.

“This is a big deal for me, thank you Councilman Velez. Thank you for believing in my vision for a united Paterson, OnePaterson,” said Sayegh.

Velez added: “Andre has been at the forefront of improvements within the 6^th Ward, and now I am publicly expressing my support for Andre to be the next leader of our entire city. I want Andre to have the job where he can work hard for residents and families living in every ward throughout our city.”

“With the support of another one of my council colleagues, I am putting together a team that will work together in the best interests of all Patersonians,” said Sayegh, who has has represented Paterson’s 6^th Ward since he was first elected in 2008. He previously served on Paterson’s Board of Education from 2004-2008.
