Physician Donlon to run with Wilton for Freeholder in Monmouth

Margie Donlon, M.D. of Ocean Township will join Lake Como Mayor Brian Wilton in the race for Monmouth County Freeholder on the Democratic Ticket.

Donlon is a new registered Democrat in response to last year’s election. Donlon is Board Certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She earned her bachelor degree from Middlebury College and a master degree in public health (MPH) from Yale University.
Dr. Donlon did her medical school training at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and completed an internship in internal medicine at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital in New York City. Dr. Donlon subsequently pursued her residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark and at the Kessler Institute.
She received additional training in the practice of medical acupuncture at the Helms Institute. Dr. Donlon has a passion for caring for patients with the goal of reducing pain and improving function.
Donlon, a surfer and environmental advocate, also has a young daughter in the Ocean Township School system.
The ticket is expected to be nominated on Saturday and will face off against long-time Freeholder Lillian Burry and Holmdel Committeeman Pat Impreveduto.
