Pintor Marin on Murphy’s $37.4 Billion Budget: ‘We have a Lot of Work to do’

In the throes of budget season, Assemblywoman Eliana Pintor (D-29) acknowledged the challenges this Legislature has as it peels apart Governor Phil Murphy’s proposed $37.4 Billion Budget.

“We have a lot of work to do,” Pintor Marin told InsiderNJ.

A lot of new initiatives are not funded, she said.

“We’re not going to have money to do all of them – besides there’s the school funding issue,” she noted. “I’m hoping that gets worked out. That’s the big one.”

Pintor Marin said she is encouraged by Murphy’s commitment to work with the legislature on school funding, but in the meantime, the budget will require fine-tuning.
