Politics, Pubs, Parades, + the Parish: Senator Bernie Kenny Part II

Former Senator Bernie Kenny of Hoboken in this second edition of Politics, Pubs, Parades, + the Parish talks about his unexpected path into politics, beginning with a chance opportunity volunteering for Ted Kennedy’s 1980 campaign, where he was immediately made a local coordinator. His grassroots work led to connections that launched his political career, eventually taking him from state committee member to the Assembly and Senate. He emphasizes how luck, timing, and persistence shape success.
