Over 1,500 Attended Civil Service Job Fair

The New Jersey Statehouse and Capitol Building In Trenton

Trenton – The NJ Civil Service Commission (CSC) hosted a successful job fair in Lawrenceville, New Jersey on Wednesday, January 15, 2020. The job fair was the second of a series of public employment job fairs that will continue through the state in 2020.

More than 25 state agencies and authorities were in attendance to discuss available opportunities during the event at the Lawrenceville Armory. The event attracted more than 1,500 job seekers.

The goal of the job fair series is to create a more diverse and talented public workforce in New Jersey. Deirdré L. Webster Cobb, Esq., Chair and Chief Executive Officer of the New Jersey Civil Service Commission explained her vision for strengthening state service. “These job fairs serve as a reminder that public employment is inclusive and welcomed by all,” said Webster Cobb. “CSC works for you and we are glad to provide these job fairs as a resource.”

Members of the public are encouraged to attend these free events, which will be held in locations in North, Central, and South Jersey. This will be an ideal opportunity to network with state recruiters to discuss employment opportunities with public government entities, the benefits of a career in government, and attend career workshops.
