2014 Democrat Congressional Candidate In NJ-11 Endorses Webber

Whippany, NJ– Today, Mark Dunec, the 2014 Democrat candidate for Congress in New Jersey’s 11th Congressional district endorsed Jay Webber for Congress. Dunec and Jay Webber released the following statements:

Mark Dunec:

“Over the last several years I have had increasing concerns that the mainstream Democratic elected officials and candidates have embraced a socialist ideology. I have witnessed this change not just on a national level but in our district, county and even in my town of Livingston, New Jersey. Furthermore, when I look across the political landscape, it is only the Republican Party that has demonstrated through actions its unwavering support for the State of Israel. I have always put principles over partisan politics and will continue to do so. In having the opportunity to get to know Jay Webber, I have come to conclude that my own moderate vision of fiscal responsibility and social consideration is shared by the Republican candidate for NJ-11. Jay will support his party leaders when they are right, oppose them when they are wrong, and always stand up for North Jersey. For these reasons, I am proud to endorse Jay Webber for Congress.”

Mark is a businessman, Board Member of the Joseph Kushner Hebrew Academy, Co-Chair of the Institutional Advancement Committee, former member of the New Jersey Leadership Council and National Council of AIPAC, served on Livingston Township’s Zoning Board and is currently a Commissioner of the Essex County Improvement Authority.

Jay Webber:

“As the Democrat party turns more and more radical, many common-sense, moderate Democrats are joining our movement for more jobs, lower taxes, and greater opportunity for all Americans. Whether it’s proposing legislation to abolish ICE, pushing Bernie Sanders-style socialized medicine, or opposing tax cuts that put $6,000 back in the pockets of North Jersey families, it’s clear the Democrats are being led by its most extreme elements.”

“I’m proud to have the endorsement of Mark Dunec.  Mark and I agree that Washington needs leaders who are willing to work with all comers to keep moving America forward.  I am the only candidate in this race who has done that, as my time in the State Assembly reaching across the aisle to deliver policies that make New Jersey a better place shows.  I intend to bring that same bi-partisan mentality to Congress.

“My opponent has spent over a year campaigning and has made it clear that she will go along to get along with far-left Democrat leaders like Nancy Pelosi in Washington, or high-tax Democrat leaders like Phil Murphy here at home.  Because of that partisanship, Mikie Sherrill just can’t bring herself to see even one ounce of the good things that are happening in this country, which is both sad and dangerous.  New Jersey needs members of Congress who will take the partisan blinders off to get the job done for the American people, and that’s what I will do. ”
