PARENTS TO GATHER FOR #CHARTERSTRONG PARENT ACTION DAY RALLY IN TRENTON

 

On Monday, March 26 over 500 public charter school parents from cities across New Jersey will come together to celebrate the 50,000 public charter school children currently receiving a world-class education and to raise awareness of the more than 35,000 children that remain on charter school waiting lists. Organized by a coalition of parents, schools, and advocacy organizations including Better Education for Kids, the New Jersey Charter Schools AssociationJerseyCAN, and the Newark Charter School Fund, the #CharterStrong Parent Action Day rally will feature several guest speakers from legislative leadership. The purpose of the rally is to deliver one clear message: charter schools are public schools and are changing lives, adding value and creating opportunities for students across the state. Parents attending the rally represent charter schools in cities from across the state including: Newark, Camden, Paterson, Trenton, Jersey City, Plainfield, Hoboken, and Atlantic City, among others.
