Addiego to Host Webinar with the NJ Economic Development Authority on Phase 4 of the Small Business Emergency Assistance Grant Program

Trenton – In response to the impact the COVID-19 Pandemic had on our small businesses and non-profits, Senator Dawn Addiego championed legislation providing the New Jersey Economic Development Authority with $235 million in grants — providing aid to some of New Jersey’s most critical industries crippled by the pandemic shutdown.

This legislation sets aside $30 million specifically for restaurants, including a $25 million fund for new restaurants, retailers, and service providers. We need to fill the vacant storefronts in our downtown business districts left empty by businesses that sadly were forced to close their doors.

Additionally, there will be $120 million for microbusinesses, $50 million for non-profits, and $10 million for child care facilities.

“I share the frustrations of our small business and nonprofit community, who are feeling the financial burden of this crisis and have run into roadblocks with state and federal programs,” said Senator Addiego. “Helping our small businesses and nonprofits survive COVID-19 will require coordination and cooperation among all levels of government.”

The New Jersey Economic Development Authority will be co-hosting a webinar with Senator Dawn Addiego, that will highlight and explain the recent opening of the Phase 4 Small Business Emergency Grant Program.
