AFSCME New Jersey Council 63 Endorses Congressman Rob Menendez for Re-Election in 2026

NEW JERSEY - The American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees International Union (AFSCME) New Jersey Council 63 today endorsed Congressman Rob Menendez for re-election in 2026.

“We are proud to support Congressman Menendez for re-election,” said Steve Tully, Executive Director, AFSCME New Jersey Council 63. “He understands the importance of the vital public services that AFSCME members provide to the people of the 8th Congressional District. Congressman Menendez has not only been there for the people of the 8th District, but he has always been there for AFSCME members and we are proud to stand with him.”

“I am proud to have the support of the people who make our state, county, and local governments work for all of our residents,” said Congressman Menendez. “AFSCME’s endorsement reflects the work that we have done to support working families and public employees, and it is an honor to have it. We share the same goal of delivering high-quality services for our residents and I will always do everything I can to make sure that they can keep doing their critical work.”

AFSCME represents more than 20,000 active state, municipal, and local employees throughout our state. There are more than 30,000 retired and current AFSCME members living in New Jersey.
