AFSCME New Jersey and the National Union of Hospital and Healthcare Employees District 1199J Endorse Joseph Cryan for State Senate in 20th Legislative District
Trenton, NJ – AFSCME New Jersey Council 63 and the National Union of Hospital and Healthcare Employees District 1199J today announced their support for Joseph Cryan for re-election to the State Senate in New Jersey’s 20th legislative district.
The 20th district includes the Union County municipalities of Elizabeth City, Hillside Township, Roselle Borough and Union Township. Cryan has represented the district in the Senate since 2018 and previously represented District 20 in the Assembly.
“Joseph Cryan understands the value of the services AFSCME members provide for the people of the 20th district every single day,” said AFSCME New Jersey Executive Director Steve Tully and District 1199J President Susan Cleary in a joint statement. “He respects public employees and health care workers and has pledged to support our members to ensure that their rights will continue to be protected during his tenure in office.”
