Toms River — Toms River First Republican Mayoral candidate Geri Ambrosio today released a statement slamming incumbent Mayor Maurice “Mo” Hill for hiding expenses for his downtown tower project into the bond ordinance that failed last week.
“We shouldn’t be surprised that Mo would sneak expenses for his obscene overdevelopment plans into the bond ordinance. This is the same mayor who took Covid American Recovery funds, funneled them to the parking authority, and then flipped some of our most valuable land in Toms River to a democrat developer for pennies on the dollar when he thought no one was looking.
“This election will be a referendum on Hill’s over-development scam. Mo shouldn’t be spending money that we don’t have.”
