Andrew Zwicker For Senate Campaign Raises Over $70,000 Showcasing Grassroots and Party Support for his Historic Bid for Senate

Kingston, NJ — Assemblyman Andrew Zwicker kicked off his campaign for State Senate last night by raising over $70,000 at a virtual fundraiser that highlighted grassroots support from around the 16th Legislative District and Democratic Party leaders coalescing around his historic bid for State Senate.

“I am so grateful that more than 100 grassroots community members contributed to my campaign in the past two weeks,” said Assemblyman Andrew Zwicker (D – Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, and Somerset). “It shows how invested and excited people are about our chance to elect for the first time a Democrat to the Senate in the 16th District. I want to thank everyone that joined us last night, everyone that has donated, and am humbled by the words of support. In particular, I want to thank Governor Phil Murphy, Senate President Steve Sweeney, Senator Vin Gopal, Assemblyman Dan Benson, Chairman McCabe, Chairwoman Schaffer, Mayor and Chair Mironov, Chairperson Perez, and every single person who took the time out of their busy schedule to help make this event such a success.”
