Andy Kim Receives Social Security Works PAC Endorsement
MARLTON, NJ — Today, Andy Kim announced he has been endorsed for reelection by the Social Security Works PAC.
“As seniors retire they’re encountering rising healthcare, housing, and grocery costs,” said Andy Kim. “I’m proud of passing legislation which will cap prescription costs for seniors to $166 a month, and I know Social Security and Medicare are critical to making sure seniors can retire with dignity. We know that when Kevin McCarthy and his friends talk about cutting spending, Social Security and Medicare are the first items on the chopping block. Seniors deserve better than to have their benefits cut. They have spent entire careers paying into Social Security, and to date it is one of the most successful programs in our nation’s history. I’m grateful to be chosen as Social Security Works PAC’s Social Security Champion. Together we will continue to fight to lower costs for seniors and protect Social Security and Medicare to make their lives a little bit easier. They’ve earned it.”
“Andy Kim will work to protect and expand Social Security’s modest benefits so that no one is forced to retire into poverty,” said Jon “Bowzer” Bauman, president of Social Security Works PAC. “Instead of trying to take health care away from the American people, Andy Kim will fight to improve and expand Medicare and Medicaid. Andy Kim will take on big Pharma’s greed and fight to bring down the outrageous cost of prescription drugs.”
Andy Kim has also received endorsements for reelection from American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL–CIO), End Citizens United (ECU) / Let America Vote, Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAF), League of Conservation Voters (LCV), VoteVets, Giffords Foundation, Everytown for Gun Safety, Sierra Club, and Teamsters Local 676, Joint Council 53, Brady PAC, AAPI Victory Fund, and New Jersey Fraternal Order of Police (NJFOP), among others.
Congressman Kim is proud to represent the community where he grew up. He continues to have a strong coalition of grassroots support that has been behind him since 2018 and helped him secure two historic victories. Without taking a dime of corporate PAC money, Congressman Kim’s campaign has raised more than $6 million this cycle through grassroots support. Prior to serving in Congress, Congressman Kim worked as a civilian advisor to four-star generals and at the Pentagon, and served under both Republican and Democratic Presidents. He now resides in Moorestown with his wife Kammy and two young sons.
