Andy Kim Statement on Major Developments Towards a Statewide Fair Ballot

MOORESTOWN N.J. – Today, Congressman Andy Kim released the following statement upon the filing of proposed settlement agreements with the Burlington County Clerk and the Middlesex County Clerk in the matter of Kim v. Hanlon. If approved by the Court, Burlington and Middlesex counties would be the first in the state to permanently end the use of the so-called “county line” ballot.

“New Jersey voters deserve a fair ballot and I won’t stop fighting until we get one. While the court considers the proposed settlement agreements filed today, I’m hopeful this will spark momentum to get all counties to permanently abide by the historic ruling made by the Federal District Court in New Jersey and upheld by the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. We are building a new era of politics in New Jersey.”
