Event will feature 5k Fun Run and Walk, Smile Mile Walk with Furry Friends,
Kids’ Activities including Bouncy House, Face Painting, Arts and Crafts, Little Sous Chef, Zumbini, plus more; Doggie Zone Barkini Bar, Smooch Pooch Kissing Booth, Doggie Dexterity Demos, Canine Café;  Cat’s Meow Lounge with Astala Vista the Crazy Cat Lady of Drag, Bottle Baby feeding demos; Food Trucks, Entertainment, Over 100 vendors plus more!

 

AWA Pet Clinic Tent Will Be Offering Specially Priced Doses for Dogs for $20 compliments of Merck and Holman

 

VOORHEES, NJ – (May 19th, 2022) – The Animal Welfare Association is thrilled to announce their biggest fundraising event of the year is back, live, and in-person on Saturday, June 4th, 2022. The event will take place at the Voorhees Town Center in Voorhees, NJ from 9:00 am– 2pm and will offer a full line-up of events geared towards the special bond between humans and their pets. This year’s event is especially exciting with expanded activities for the pet-loving community and their Furry Friends.

COME! PLAY! STAY! is the theme of this year’s Paws & Feet event and will not only feature the annual 5k Fun Run/Walk and Smile Mile Walk Furry Friend Walk, but will also include food trucks, entertainment provided by WXTU, the Barktini Bar & Canine Cafe, Smooch a Pooch Kissing Booth, and Doggie Pool Party.  Let’s not forget the Cat’s Meow Lounge hosted by Astala Vista the Crazy Cat Lady of Drag will feature adorable Bottle Babies Feeding Demos.

New for the Pet-loving community will be the AWA Animal Adoption & Education Tent which will feature AWA’s newly launched “Tales With Tails” reading to the animals for children ages 5-11 presented at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm.  Special guest appearances by AWA’S Pet Therapy team.

From 9:00 am until 1:30, AWA’s Pet Clinic Veterinary team will be offering “Doses for Dogs”:  Microchipping, rabies, distemper, and bordatella vaccinations all for the special Paws and Feet price of $20 sponsored by Bravecto and Holman.

Additionally, demonstrations such as K9 Officers, Doggie Demos, Service Dog information, and “Ask the Trainer” will also take place.

“Paws and Feet Doggie Fun Day” is a day for the pet-loving community to come together and celebrate their love of animals with their furry friends and family and to support other needy animals.  AWA spends over $1,000 a day on medical care and supplies for the animals that we rescue.  Our goal is to raise $60,000 to help support the animals who need medical and behavior support and for the pet-caring community to be able to enjoy our special Paws and Feet Doggie Fun Day programs,” says Marian Conicella, Development Manager. “We can’t wait to see you, your family, and your furry family members at AWA’s biggest and most important FUNdraiser of the year.”
