Jay Vaingankar joins Solar Landscape as Director of Policy and Markets
Solar Landscape, the nation’s leading commercial rooftop solar developer, today announced the appointment of Jay Vaingankar as the company’s new Director of Policy and Markets.
In this role, Vaingankar will help drive efforts to continue Solar Landscape's national momentum, translating policy insights into business strategy and market expansion. He will play a pivotal role in the company’s policy strategy, industry coalition-building, and local government engagement.
Vaingankar brings a wealth of experience from the public sector. He served as an aide in the White House under President Joe Biden and then as Special Advisor in Secretary Jennifer Granholm’s Domestic Policy Office at the Department of Energy, where he helped lead the successful implementation of clean energy legislation.
Previously, he led one of the largest voter contact operations in the nation as an organizer on the 2020 Biden campaign in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Vaingankar was born and raised in Mercer County, New Jersey and then graduated from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, with a B.S. in Economics and a B.A. in International Studies.
