Assembly Candidate Jeffrey Brown Stands in Solidarity with Highland Park Jewish Community, Condemns Opponents for Continued Silence on Issue

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Highland Park, NJ- District 18 candidate for Assembly, Jeffrey Brown issued the followed statement over the controversy surrounding the reading of the “P is for Palestine” children’s propaganda book at the Highland Park Public Library.

“Public libraries are a place for children to develop a love for reading and learning.  To poison that atmosphere by force feeding children, many of them Jewish, a propaganda book that celebrates Intifadas which killed many innocent civilians is disgraceful and wrong,” stated Brown.  “As a Jewish individual living in District 18, I am disappointed that our incumbent legislators, Nancy Pinkin and Robert Karabinchak, have refused to condemn this.  The voters of the 18th legislative District deserve representatives who will stand up and do what is right, even if it is politically inconvenient.”
