SOMERVILLE, NJ – At the Somerset County Republican Organization’s screening meeting on February 17, 2021, the members have chosen Vincent Panico and Joseph Lukac III as the nominees for Assembly in the 16th Legislative District of New Jersey. Vincent Panico is from Readington Township, and is currently the Board of Education President at Hunterdon Central Regional High School. Joseph Lukac III is a Councilman from Manville, a 27-year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 102, and a 12-year U.S. Army veteran.

“I’m honored to be selected by the Somerset County Republican Organization as their candidate for Assembly along with Joe Lukac,” said Vincent Panico. “We need leaders in Trenton who prioritize New Jersey’s most critical assets and resources. I’m excited to advocate for our teachers, students, small businesses, infrastructure, and environment.”

Joe Lukac said, “I’d like to thank the Somerset County Republican Organization for selecting Vincent Panico and myself as Candidates for State Assembly in District 16. Coming from the working class, I know how much the current administration’s tax and spend policies hurt our communities and businesses. It’s time we started electing candidates who have the perspective needed to fight for the economic welfare of all New Jersey residents.”

“Lukac and Panico are a strong and dynamic ticket,” said Somerset County Republican Chairman Tim Howes. “They are in touch with Somerset County values and I am confident that they will represent us well.”

New Jersey’s Primary election is on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 and the General election is on Tuesday, November 2, 2021.
