Assemblywoman Eliana Pintor Marin Makes Official Endorsement of Mikie Sherrill for Governor

NEWARK — Assemblywoman Eliana Pintor Marin (LD-29) announced her formal endorsement of Mikie Sherrill for Governor. Assemblywoman Pintor Marin and  Mikie Sherrill have worked together throughout her campaign to connect with voters in Newark and throughout the Portuguese community.

“Here in New Jersey, we need a decisive leader who is going to roll up her sleeves and get right to work tackling the biggest issues facing New Jersey families. I know that is exactly what Mikie will do as our next governor, because we are both committed mothers and committed public servants. From the rising cost of housing, utilities, and groceries, to the challenges we face keeping our children safe on social media, Mikie has a vision and plan to get the job done in Trenton. I am so proud to endorse her because I know that she values hard work, is deeply committed to serving our state and our country, and wants to build opportunities for all of our children. Join me in getting out and casting your ballot for the next governor, Mikie Sherrill!” said Assemblywoman Eliana Pintor Marin.

“Throughout this campaign, I have been excited to work with Assemblywoman Pintor Marin as we listen to residents in Newark and connect on the issues that matter most to working families, whether that’s stronger support for small businesses or bringing down everyday costs for families. That’s why I am truly honored to earn her endorsement. As the State Assembly Budget chair, Eliana is the type of excellent partner I need in Trenton to lower costs and expand opportunities for families to thrive here in the Garden State,” said Mikie Sherrill.

Mikie Sherrill has earned broad support from community leaders in the City of Newark because of her clear vision to lower costs for families and her commitment to serving communities across the entire state. She has also earned the support of additional Portuguese community leaders like Retired Essex County Sheriff Armando Fontoura. Earlier this week, she was endorsed by Senate Majority Leader Teresa Ruiz and has also been endorsed by the Payne family.
