Yesterday , Assemblywoman Shanique Speight was proud to partner with Joi’s Angels in the City of Newark at Essex County Community College in giving back to the community for the holiday season. Joi’s Angels is a faith-based ministry dedicated to providing critical assistance to the displaced, challenged and homeless by supplying food shelter, advocacy , and life essentials. With over 1500 residents in attendance, hearts were filled with joy as thousands of children were given gifts, enjoyed entertainment, and were able to meet members of Joi’s Angels to learn valuable skills. As the crowd ranged from small children to seniors, everyone received gifts and no one was left out.
“I truly want to thank Joi’s Angels for their continued dedication and hard-work serving residents in the City of Newark and the State of New Jersey. During the holiday season, no one should be left alone, and by partnering with community organizations, it enhances and improves the quality of life for residents.” – Assemblywoman Shanique Speight- 29th Legislative District.
