ATLANTIC CITY REPUBLICANS ENDORSE KURTZ & RISLEY FOR STATE ASSEMBLY

ATLANTIC CITY -The AC Republican Club is proud to announce our endorsement of Councilman Jesse Kurtz, and County Commissioner John Risley for State Assembly Due to the recent developments in the Senate race in the second district the ACGOP will withhold an endorsement and allow the convention process to proceed. The candidates involved have only had a few days to connect with county committee members and vet the issues and are respectfully requesting our friends and colleagues from Municipalities across District 2 to do the same.

We base this decision on the strong core values that Jesse Kurtz & John Risley represent, not only in their public service but in their lives and leadership in our community through the years. Through Jesse’s proven ability to win tough campaigns and marshal the resources needed to be successful in November, the Sixth Ward of Atlantic City is by far the finest in Atlantic City, and perhaps Atlantic County.  Jesse Kurtz is intimately familiar with the issues in Atlantic City which need to be remedied for District 2 to succeed .

John Risley’s public service is legendary, with several decades of placing Service Above Self including volunteer work and elected office in Atlantic County.  Risley won an Assembly seat last election cycle only to be reversed by a slim margin by Vote By Mail.

Few elected officials in District 2 have exemplified our GOP Core Values and integrity more than Jesse Kurtz and John Risley.  While we shall hold our Senate endorsement open until the candidates can discuss their positions on the issues that matter most to our rank-and-file club members, is important to come forward in our support of Kurtz and Risley for State Assembly.  Their collective records have been consistent in their public service, always placing service above self; always helping those in need and never wavering on their responsibilities.

Their qualifications transcend partisan politics and translate into effective public service for all. We need Kurtz’s and Risley’s leadership now more than ever.  Not only for Atlantic City, but in all of District 2.
