AT&T Launches Text-To-Give Campaign to Support Newark Families with Lead Service Lines

Text WATER to 20222 to make a $10 donation to the United Way of Essex and West Hudson’s water fund

AT&T has launched a Text-To-Give campaign to support Newark families in areas with lead service lines.  Donations collected during the giving campaign will be directed to the United Way of Essex and West Hudson’s water fund where 100% of proceeds will go toward purchasing bottled water for impacted residents.

AT&T’s Text-To-Give campaign is open to include not only AT&T customers, but also wireless customers of Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint and US Cellular.   All Text-To-Give donations are one-time gifts and added to a customer’s monthly wireless bill.

Simply text WATER to 20222 to make a $10 donation to the United Way of Essex and West Hudson’s water fund.  When prompted, reply YES to confirm the donation.

Donations will appear on your wireless bill or will be deducted from your prepaid balance. Donor must be age 18+, and all donations must be authorized by the account holder. By texting YES, the user agrees to the terms and conditions. Terms and conditions can be found at hmgf.org/t. You can unsubscribe at any time by texting STOP. Reply HELP for help.

“AT&T roots are in New Jersey, and we are committed to helping communities in need,” said Charlene Brown, president, AT&T New Jersey. “We also recognize the power of mobile technology and are using that to engage our employees and all New Jerseyans who want to help.”
