Hackensack, NJ – Bergen County Democratic Committee Chairman Paul Juliano and Democratic leaders announced today that they have endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden to be the next president of the United States.

Bergen County Democratic Committee Chairman Paul Juliano, and Vice Chair Balpreet Grewal-Virk; Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg (LD-37); Senators Joseph Lagana (LD-38), and Paul Sarlo (LD-36); Assembly members Clinton Calabrese (LD-36), Valerie Huttle (LD-37), Gordon Johnson (LD-37), Gary Schaer (LD-36), Lisa Swain (LD-38), and Chris Tully (LD-38); County Executive Jim Tedesco; Freeholders Mary Amoroso, David Ganz, Germaine Ortiz, Steven Tanelli, Thomas Sullivan, Dr. Joan Voss, and Tracy Zur; Sheriff Anthony Cureton; Clerk John Hogan; and Democratic Legislative District Chairs John Bang (LD-37), Frank Del Vecchio (LD-40), Esther Fletcher (LD-38), Bernadette McPherson (LD-36) and Todd Sherer (LD-39), issued the following joint statement:

“This November, there is so much on the line for our country and the stakes have never been higher. To beat Donald Trump, retake the Senate, maintain our majority in the House and elect Democrats up and down the ballot in Bergen County, we need the strongest candidate on top of the ticket – a candidate for President who knows how to bring people together and can rally both Democrats and Independents. Without question, Joe Biden, who has spent his entire life fighting for our Democratic values, is that person. We know he will lead us to victory in November, and as President, guide our country towards a stronger future where all Americans have the opportunities they need to succeed. It is with great pride that we enthusiastically endorse former Vice President Joe Biden to be our nominee and the next President of the United States.”
