Bergen County Prosecutor and Bergen County Medical Examiner Are Seeking the Public’s Assistance with Locating the Family of Eugene Mack, Jr. Who Died in 1978

 

[Paramus, N.J.] —  The Bergen County Prosecutor and the Bergen County Medical Examiner are seeking the public’s assistance with locating the family of Eugene Mack, Jr. who died in 1978 and was only recently identified.

 

At the time of autopsy, the decedent was described as a 5’10” in height, 172 lb. Black male with black hair and brown eyes. Eugene Mack, Jr. was struck by a motor vehicle on State Highway Route 17 in Hackensack, N.J. and pronounced dead at Hackensack University Medical Center on February 22, 1978. When the Bergen County Medical Examiner was unable to identify the body, the case was registered in the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs).

 

Eugene Mack, Jr. who has been identified by the FBI through fingerprint analysis was born in New York, N.Y. and served in the U.S. Air Force. He would have been 42 years old at the time of his death.
