Founded in 1985, Community Hope is the largest nonprofit organization in the State of New Jersey that works to address the homeless veteran crisis. The mission of Community Hope is to help individuals, with an emphasis on veterans, and their families, overcome mental illness, addiction, homelessness and poverty by providing housing and support services. Todd Smith serves as a Business Consultant with the New Jersey Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in Bergen County. “The Bergen County SBDC could not be prouder of Todd Smith,” said SBDC Regional Director Vincent Vicari, “he has worked incredibly well with the region’s veteran-owned small businesses in helping get them access to thousands of dollars and guiding them through the hardships of the pandemic. Having put on several workshops and events with military groups in the state, the SBDC at Ramapo College has always made working with veterans a priority.”
In addition to his work with the SBDC, Todd Smith is the author of several books including “I Pledge Allegiance,” a novelization of the plight of the homeless veterans in the United States. Todd Smith also owns Royce Joseph Capital LLC, which facilitates the placement and packaging of loans for small businesses. He is a recipient of NJBIZ’s 2021 Leader in Finance Award.
