Bergenfield Announces 0% Tax Increase in 2021 Budget

BERGENFIELD, NJ — Mayor Amatorio and the Borough Council have released their budget for the remainder of the year which includes a 0% municipal tax increase. In spite of the Borough not raising taxes on residents, it is still delivering on critical infrastructure improvements, as well as renovations at every park in the Borough.

“Our administration has worked hard to deliver on our promise of fiscal responsibility in Bergenfield and once again there will not be a raise in taxes,” said Mayor Amatorio. “Even though our Borough taxes will not be raised, we will still be able to make improvements to our infrastructure, renovate our parks and continue to provide essential services to our residents.”

“Despite the fact that yearly tax increases have been the norm in municipalities around the state, in Bergenfield we are continuing to keep taxes stable,” said Councilwoman and Finance Committee Chairwoman Ora Kornbluth. “I am proud of the work we are doing to deliver excellent services to our residents without increasing their tax burden.”
