Bergenfield Will Host Virtual Tree Lighting at Cooper’s Pond on Sunday with Holiday Music

BERGENFIELD, N.J. — Keeping in accordance with the social distancing regulations in place, the Borough of Bergenfield will host its annual holiday celebration virtually this year. The event will be streamed live on Facebook and linked to the Borough’s website this Sunday, December 6, at 5:00 p.m. and will include a tree lighting from Cooper’s Pond and holiday music.

“Though celebrations look different this year, Bergenfield has actively worked to continue brightening the spirits and bring holiday cheer to our community,” said Mayor Arvin Amatorio. “We encourage all residents to join us virtually with their families on Saturday to enjoy an evening of music as we prepare to light our holiday tree in Cooper’s Pond.”

Please note that with outdoor gatherings limited to 25 people, residents are asked to watch the ceremony from their homes and will not be permitted to gather at the park. The event will begin at 5:00 p.m. and run for roughly 15 to 20 minutes. The live video can be found on the Borough’s Facebook.
