Bloomfield PBA Local #32 Endorses Mayor Jenny Mundell and her Team in 2025 Democratic Primary
The Bloomfield Police Benevolent Association (PBA) Local #32 proudly announced its unequivocal endorsement of Mayor Jenny Mundell and her running mates, First Ward Councilwoman Rosalee Gonzalez, Councilwoman at-Large Monica Charris Tabares, Councilman at-Large Widney Polynice, and at-large council candidate Jill Fischman in the 2025 Bloomfield Democratic Primary Election. This endorsement reflects Mayor Mundell and her team’s unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of the community and their consistent support for the men and women of law enforcement.
PBA President Anthony Nardiello stated, "Mayor Mundell has proven her dedication to public safety throughout her tenure, first as a council representative and now as mayor. She has demonstrated a strong interest in understanding the complexities and challenges of modern policing and has consistently provided our department with the resources, training, and support necessary to protect our residents."
In 2025, the Bloomfield Police Department has seen a 15% reduction in crime compared to this time last year as well as a more concerted focus around traffic and pedestrian safety, which Mayor Mundell attributes to the close working relationship with the Bloomfield Police Department. “As representatives of the community, we bring concerns to the department. All the while, our expert police force is tracking crime data and trends in policing to help make Bloomfield a safer place to live. Department leadership presents us with solutions, both in response to our concerns and proactively, and together we find ways to resource those solutions.”
"She doesn't just talk about public safety; she acts on it," added President Nardiello. "The Mayor has been a true partner, listening to our concerns and working collaboratively to implement solutions that keep our officers safe and healthy while benefitting the community we serve."
Beyond operational support, Mayor Mundell has prioritized the welfare of those who dedicate their lives to public service. "Mayor Mundell understands that taking care of those who take care of our community is paramount," President Nardiello emphasized. "She has consistently advocated for fair compensation, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive work environment for our officers. This commitment to the well-being of our personnel is a testament to her respect and appreciation for the sacrifices they make daily."
President Nardiello added, “Bloomfield PBA Local #32 urges all citizens of Bloomfield to join us in supporting Mayor Jenny Mundell, First Ward Councilwoman Rosalee Gonzales, Councilwoman at-Large Monica Charris Tabares, Councilman at-Large Widney Polynice, and at-Large council candidate Jill Fischman in this Primary Election. Their leadership is vital for maintaining a safe and thriving community.”
