Boggiano Endorses Education Matters BOE Slate

The Education Matters team is proud to announce that we have received the endorsement of Jersey City Ward C Councilman Richard Boggiano. In a statement sent t us, Councilman Boggiano states: “I have been a supporter of Gina Verdibello since she started running for BOE and can attest to her level of commitment. Having worked with Gerald Lyons and Sudhan Thomas during their tenure on the Board, I have seen their dedication to bettering our school system. I have also had the opportunity to collaborate with Darwin Ona & Lekendrick Shaw through their work in the community and am confident that they will be great additions to this team and to the Jersey City Board of Education.  Clearly, the Education Matters team is the most effective and committed team in this race and I am proud to endorse them.”
The fact that Councilman Boggiano served the City of Jersey City for decades in his career in The Jersey City Police Department as well as him being a staunch fighter for preserving neighborhoods on the Council make this another endorsement that speaks to the level of trust and commitment that the Education Matters team lives by. This is a tremendous follow up to receiving endorsements from Councilman Daniel Rivera and Freeholder Bill O’Dea earlier in the week and earning the trust of all three of these respected and committed public servants with their reputation for exceptional level of community and constituent service speak to the character of the Education Matters candidates.
