BOYS TO LEADERS FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES NEW BOARD MEMBERS

 

(Newark, NJ) The Boys to Leaders Foundation is pleased to announce the election of two new members to its board of directors, Goldin Martinez, Social Entrepreneur and Founder of GetFocused.org, and Milagros Peralta, Chief of Staff at New Jersey Senate.

“The directors and I are proud to welcome Goldin Martinez and Milagros Peralta to our board,” said Sara Peña, Founder of Boys to Leaders Foundation. “These community leaders bring a wealth of expertise in their fields and are truly committed to serving our youth. I am excited to work alongside these individuals who will add tremendous value to the organization’s mission.”

Goldin Martinez is an Award-Winning Social Entrepreneur and Founder of GetFocused.org, a nationally recognized youth organization that has empowered over 480,000 young people to read and exercise to enrich their lives. Since its inception, Get Focused has partnered with prestigious organizations such as the Let’s Move Initiative, Health Corp, Boys & Girls Club, YMCA, New Jersey Devils, SOMOS Community Care, and many more to expand his program to inner-city communities throughout the country. Through the power of community service, Goldin learned the importance of giving back and making a difference in the world.

Milagros Peralta is currently a Chief of Staff within the New Jersey Senate, serving as a top strategist for public policy decisions and developing relationships with community organizations and constituencies throughout New Jersey. Milagros has over fourteen years of tenure in state government and extensive experience serving in public relations. As a first-generation college graduate, she understands the importance of mentorship and is passionate about helping our youth identify personal and academic barriers to achieve their ultimate goals.

The 2022-2023 Boys to Leaders Foundation Board of Directors are: Sara Peña, Michael J. Plata, Esq., Miguelangel Melendez, Amod Field, Dr. Diane Hill, Joel Ramirez, Maria Maya Torres, Keith H. Green, Maria Andrade, Janet Pena, Yesenia Lopez, Dr. Reinaldo Santiago, Goldin Martinez and Milagros Peralta.
