Bucco Derides Democrats for Forgetting About the Plight of New Jersey Families
Senator Anthony M. Bucco (R-25) criticized Trenton Democrats for advancing a political agenda that abandons taxpaying residents desperate for relief. “Today’s board list makes it crystal clear. Democrats have abandoned their responsibility to New Jersey’s over-burdened taxpayers. The emphasis in the Senate today makes it more costly to live here, makes the state more accommodating to law-breakers, and robs citizens of their religious freedom. “While hundreds of thousands of families say they are planning to leave the state in the next few years in search of affordability and fiscal sanity, the majority party will pass bills neutralizing the critical 2 percent property tax cap in some school districts, giving convicted criminals the right to vote and lobby, and stripping parents of their constitutional religious freedoms. “My Republican colleagues and I will be registering a lot of ‘No’ votes today as we fight for families and retirees who deserve better treatment. “It is time for Democrats to get their priorities straight in Trenton.” |
