Burlco GOP Announces LD7 Slate of Candidates
The Burlington County Republican Committee will back former Palmyra Mayor Michelle Arnold as the State Senate candidate in the 7th Legislative District. A Burlington County native, Arnold grew up in Cinnaminson and graduated from Burlington County College (now Rowan College at Burlington County). Arnold was first elected to Palmyra Borough Council in 2013 and served as mayor from 2016 – 2019. During that time, she worked to open two parks and focused on environmental clean-up and economic development. As a realtor, Arnold is a leader in her industry serving on the Professional Standards Committee of New Jersey Realtors and on the National Association of Realtors’ Business Development Committee.
Arnold will be joined on the ticket by Assembly candidates Douglas F. Dillon of Moorestown and Joseph Jesuele of Delran. A retired CWA member, Douglas F. Dillon worked in the Department of Transportation for 33 years, including 12 years as Shop Steward, beginning as an electrical mechanic and progressing to principal traffic engineer. He has also volunteered his time in the community including serving on the boards of the Burlington County Shrine Club, the Moorestown Township Zoning Board, and Rittenhouse Park Community Association. Dillon was born in New Jersey and has lived in Burlington County all of his childhood school years and his adult life.
Joseph Jesuele Jr., RPh. owns and operates Delran Pharmacy, which opened in 2012. On the frontlines of healthcare delivery, he knows all too well where the industry wastes money and resources, and also understands the opportunities for sound legislative policy to provide quality, cost-efficient care to New Jersey residents. As a small business owner, Jesuele has felt and will fight back against the burdensome regulations imposed on the business community by Trenton politicians. A lifelong New Jersey resident, Jesuele previously served on his township Zoning Board. He graduated from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy & Science (now University of the Sciences).
“This year we need to elect Jack Ciattarelli as our next governor, and we also need to deliver him a Republican majority in the legislature,” said Burlington County Republican Committee Chairman Sean Earlen. “We can accomplish that by taking back seats right here in Burlington County. I’m confident an Arnold – Dillon – Jesuele ticket will help us to break the one-party rule in Trenton and bring much-needed relief to New Jersey taxpayers.”
