Business Leader And Information Technology Strategist Leonard Washington Launches Campaign for Roselle 5th Ward Council

Roselle, NJ – Leonard Washington is a proud native of Roselle, NJ and an alum of Abraham Clark High School, running to represent its 5th Ward in this year’s municipal primary election on June 8, 2021. He is an Information Technology Professional with over 20 years’ experience, and is currently the IT Infrastructure and Security Analyst for VDM Metals USA. He is also the co-founder of BOLD Community Care Services, an organization that provides programs and services to individuals with disabilities.

“The COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown exposed inefficiencies in how Roselle residents access borough resources and services. I am passionate about the Borough of Roselle, and feel that it is important to have representation that is invested in the overall well-being and stability of the Borough’s finances,” stated Leonard Washington. “As a homeowner, I share residents’ growing concerns about property tax stability, the inefficient use of taxpayer dollars, unfunded liabilities and modernization. As part of an economic recovery plan for Roselle, I will advocate for the streamlining of access to Borough services, by bringing many of them online, and will push for expanding opportunities for WiFi in public spaces.”

Leonard is a devoted husband and father, and can often be seen helping his neighbors and others around the community. Guided by the motto of service over self, he believes in accountability and transparency in government. His candidacy is for the People and for the Future of Roselle, and if elected, he will work to move the Borough forward responsibly through tough times.
