Caba Commits to a Post-Pandemic Recovery Plan for Perth Amboy
PERTH AMBOY, NJ – (Dec. 9, 2020) – Mayoral candidate Helmin J. Caba says his Administration will be prepared to spearhead a safe, steady recovery effort for Perth Amboy residents and businesses from the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Details about a successful vaccination is certainly welcome news. But, right now, we must remain vigilant to stop this virus from spreading further in our community,” said Caba, the top choice for mayor in the Dec. 15 runoff election.
“Perth Amboy continues to lead Middlesex County with 4,297 positive cases, including 65 new cases reported within the last 24 hours. These figures represent a surge of positive cases,” Councilman Caba said.
“I urge Perth Amboy residents to honor those we have lost to COVID-19 by being safe, practicing social distancing and adhering to the safety guidelines set forth by Gov. Phil Murphy and his Administration,” Caba said.
“Recovery will be gradual in Perth Amboy, especially for our small business community. But, I want to assure the voters that my Administration will use a comprehensive approach to build back Perth Amboy from this crisis,” Caba explained.
“Cooperation will be the key to our effort. My Administration will work with officials on all levels of government in New Jersey to ensure that Perth Amboy remains a priority for funding and assistance,” he said.
